Media diary

24/11/08
In the first two lessons we made a decided what it was is we have to do for our soap opera and title sequence and when we are going to do it. We also started analyzing soap opera in a brain storm.In our last lesson we then carried out research on BBC2.

26/11/08
Today we carried out research on ITV1. We later used the internet for research. We each looked at different aspects of soap opera such as the character stereotypes and settings. The part that I had to research was soap narrative. We then thought up different ideas for soap storylines and wrote out our character profiles.

27/11/08
Today I started my research on channel 4.

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. This is now going to be an essential part of the diploma and where some of your assessment will be done. It is really important that you use this blog to keep a record of work and of evaluation during the course. I will be using it to keep an eye on you.

The Creative Media Diploma is worth three and a half A- levels and is done over two years.
It is a lot more hands on than the media A level and is more appropriate for those who wish to go into the media industry as a profession. 

There are six units to the diploma and each one has one or more portfolios.
